1740-1840 is a sculpture capable of displaying one Hour of a movement of a person through space through its flexible volatile shape. The movement was recorded between 1740 and 1840.
It consist of 4 Carbon rods connected with three two-dimensional- motorized joints. Each Rod Stands for one minute, enabling the Sculpture to display 4 minutes at a time. There are two Motor Controlled Angles between the Struts. One displaying the XY movement, the other the distance traveled between the two waypoints ( the tow connected rods).
Every 60 Seconds it displays another set of 4 minutes.
That means it needs 15 States in total to display the full Hour.
